                                             Frecuent Ask Questions

Do we have to pay tax? Can we negotiate pricing?

Tax is not optional for a legally run business. No, I do not haggle. My packages are designed to both offer value already but to also cover the costs of running a business and providing a living wage to support my family.

Do we get to keep all the photos you take?

No, only a certain number depending on the package you purchase. Images will be delivered in jpg format.

They are full-size and professionally edited, in colour. We do not sell or giveaway RAW (unedited) files.

Newborn Session

Newborn sessions are done in my home studio only. Baby sessions are usually done between 4 to 14 days old. Although the session can be done later than 14 days, the baby may not allow curly poses. I work around baby comfort and safety.

sessions are determined by baby, as babies are little people with their own likes and dislikes. Not all babies will be happy to do every pose/shot, and if baby wants to take a break to feed then we take a break. I’ll work with you and your baby to have a successful session.

I usually start the session by posing baby on his/her own (know as the beanbag shots).

After the beanbag shots, we then move onto using the props.  I have a range of props including; crates, vintage suitcase, wooden bowls, egg shells, swings, baskets, beds and more.

                                                          What to bring

Pacifier – pacifier is essential for the photo session. The short amount of time we will be using one should not affect any habit-forming behaviours for your baby. My goal is to help keep the baby happy and calm during our session.
Feeding bottle – If bottle-feeding having extra bottles and/or milk is suggested. Some babies tend to eat more than usual during their photo sessions. The bottle is better for feeding during photo session as breastfeeding will take longer to make the baby full. Feel free to bring sentimental items- Hand knitted hats, blankets, a special toy, rattle..

What parents should wear?

I prefer neutral, light or pastel colors. As a photographer prefer no big logos or enormous patterns but is your photoshoot and you can wear what you like.

How do I choose the style of my baby’s photographs?

The key phrase is  Its your money, your shoot, your baby, and your images, I like you to be involved in and influence styling. Just have a look through my newborn pics on Instagram and Facebook and ‘like’ the images that you prefer, you can also google images that you like and ask me if I can reproduce them. This just gives me an idea of what props and set-ups to have ready for the photoshoot. Some parents don't feel they have the creative flair and just let me loose to have a play as they love my style - this is no trouble at all, you still get the final say before anything goes near your baby.

 After the photo session

After the photo session you can view with me all the images, and select the ones you like. You select the final pictures in my studio, this will take 10 extra minutes. However please be assure I do not do hard selling. After the session you must pay full.

when will you get the images?

will take 2 to 3 weeks to edit your images.  Once images are ready I will send them by email with a program which keeps hight resolution in the images. You have one week to download images from your email to a computer.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept e-transfers or accept cash. I will give you a tax receipt

                                                                MATERNITY

The ideal time to do the photoshoot is between 30-34 weeks.  I have maternity dresses different sizes, but you are welcome to bring your own outfits. Please bring two pairs of bras: a neutral strapless bra, be sure your wear seamless underwear. If your children and partner are participating in the photoshoot, you need coordinate matching outfits according  with your maternity dresses. I recommend outfits with solid natural tones, like white grey and black. You may bring you own props like ultrasound photos, baby's shoes or toy.

                                                                    Makeup

I highly recommend professional makeup and hair. Professional makeup will add a huge difference to your photoshoot, you will feel beautiful and confident at your session. Neutral looking fake lashes can really flatter your eyes.

                                                                     FAMILY

Have your clothing chosen way in advance and make sure that your outfit choices are comfortable and attractive.  What do your dream family photos look like?  If they are soft and elegant?  Chose neutral colors with soft, flowing fabrics…. think creams, very soft pastels, oatmeals, light browns, tans, grays, and slate blues.  Choose coordinating colors  with bold accent colors, such as hues of gray with yellow or bright red accents, choose colours that go well together.

The best photographs are often the ones where everyone is engaged or interacting with each other. Understand that not every picture needs to have everyone looking at the camera and smiling at the same time. If you are engaged as a family and loving on each other, your eyes will be on your family members and your smile with be natural. These are the photographs that you will cherish most because they depict your family connection and your love.

Things to do before your photoshoot
